It is widely used as an anti-mildew additive in food, feed, grain and silage (mainly for anti-mildew and fresh-keeping and improve nutritional value). Used as acidulant, leveling agent, buffer, sequestering agent, antirust agent and bread mildew in the printing and dyeing industry.
